Citadel Securities phone screen, stock trading DP
Phone screen opened with about 15 minutes on a project I'd shipped, then went into coding. Started as LC121, single buy/sell. Once I got that working the interviewer bumped it straight to the LC122 multi-transaction version, then asked for O(1) space instead of the O(n) DP table. Final follow-up generalized it to at most k transactions and that's where I ran out of time. Couldn't complete. Walked through the recurrence out loud instead. Heard back a few days later, moving on to onsite.

how much time did they actually give you for the k transactions part? feels like that alone is a full round on its own
maybe 10 min left by that point, not enough tbh
had something similar for a securities team, they kept extending LC121 too. seems to be a pattern with the DP questions
did they let you use extra space for the first version or did they want O(1) from the start
O(n) was fine at first, they only asked for O(1) once I had 122 working
good luck on the onsite, hope it goes better than the phone screen timing did
resume discussion first is rough when you don't know it's coming, throws off your coding time budget
