Snowflake onsite, 3 rounds, rejected with zero explanation
Just wrapped up my Snowflake onsite, 3 rounds, rejected a few days later with zero explanation, figured I'd share since it's not in the usual bank.
Coding was a tree problem, check if the root equals the average of all subtree values, follow up assumed non-decreasing input and wanted a TreeMap based approach.
SD was the audit log service, users query logs scoped to their own account, mostly storage and query latency. Felt more like a real production problem than a generic prompt.
BQ was the usual proudest project plus a conflict story.
Thought it went fine but got zero specifics back, so who knows. Anyone else seeing the audit log question lately?

How long did you get for the tree problem? Curious if the follow up ate most of your time.
Had about 35 minutes total, follow up took maybe half of that once I explained the TreeMap approach.
Same thing happened to me a few weeks back. Solved everything and still got a generic rejection with no reason.
Is the audit log SD new? Haven't seen that one mentioned before.
Got asked something similar last month, felt very tailored to an actual outage they had.
Sorry to hear man, their bar seems all over the place lately.
