7 YOE, coming from a mid size fintech.
Phone screen 1: AI coding, delivery cost / driver payment system, used Cursor + Claude, only got through 2 of 3 parts before time ran out. Phone screen 2: pure SD, user events tracking system, dashboard vs warehousing split.
Rejected 2 days later. Rippling recommends using AI going in, worth knowing before you sign up.

Got the exact same delivery cost problem a few months back, that third part really is the whole interview.
How deep did the SD round go? Curious if they wanted the ES index answer specifically.
They wanted ES for search on mine too, felt like there was one right answer the whole time.
Did you try opting out of the AI tool or just go with it?
Went with Cursor and Claude, felt like it was expected honestly.
