Roblox rejected me after a loop that felt fine, still confused
I've been at a mid-size gaming studio for about 4 years and figured I'd try to jump into something bigger, so Roblox reached out and I went through the whole loop last month.
Phone screen was rate limiter with a sliding window, threw in a follow up about handling multiple request fields at once. Felt okay tbh, finished with time to spare.
Onsite had four rounds. Coding was a call stack question, had to figure out tie breaking when two paths showed up the same number of times. System design was the game social proof thing, like the "X, Y, and 500 others played this" string, we went deep into caching versus real time queries and I thought that part actually went really well. Last two rounds were project walkthrough and a BQ that felt like a checklist, interviewer barely reacted to anything I said.
Got the rejection two days later. No real feedback, just the generic email. The weird part is the SD interviewer seemed genuinely into the conversation, so I have no idea what tipped it the other way.
Anyone else get burned after a round that felt solid? Trying to figure out if it's a me problem or just how Roblox loops go.

wait the SD interviewer being into it and then rejection is so weird, did they even loop you back for anything
yeah roblox feedback is basically nonexistent from what I've seen, they don't loop back
BQ round sounding like a checklist is such a mood, mine was the same way
for real, felt like they were just going through a script
any idea if they give feedback if you push back on the recruiter or is it just a form email
a call stack question came up for me too, tie breaking part got me as well
sorry man, their loss honestly, sounds like you handled the SD stuff well
