Got rejected by Perplexity after the full onsite loop
Phone screen was GPU Credits II, the grant and usage events came in out of order and I had to replay everything by timestamp to get the balance right, using a heap to always deduct from whichever grant expired soonest. Took me a while to get the ordering logic straight and I only barely finished before time was up.
Made it to the onsite, three technical rounds plus a manager meeting. One was an infra round, they described a system that was overloaded and wanted me to name metrics I'd want to see, definitely something I hadn't prepped for. System design was mint.com, personal finance aggregator, had to think through account linking and syncing at a high level. Last coding round was some log processing and debugging, felt okay on that one honestly.
Got the rejection a few days later, no specifics on which round did me in. Everything's in Python there too if that's useful for anyone prepping for this one.

Infra round for something calling itself an AI company still catches me off guard every time.
GPU Credits II seems to come up a lot for phone screens lately, I've seen it mentioned a couple times.
Same, got it too a few weeks back. Heap approach is definitely the intended one.
Sorry that happened, feels like their process is still figuring itself out tbh.
Yeah agreed, HR being that technical upfront was also new to me when I went through it.
mint.com for SD is such a random pick for what they actually do lol
