HRT phone screen, got cooked by a problem I couldn't finish (Rejected)

That watcher problem is brutal. I got something similar and also ran out of time. The edge cases on the direction reversals alone ate up like 15 minutes.
Got rejected from a different round a few months back. The next-day rejection at least saves you from waiting. Small mercies.
Not surprised. HRT basically wants you to produce production-quality C++ in under an hour with no test cases. The bar is just not LC prep.
How many YOE? Curious if they're filtering at this round heavily for new grads.
NG, 0 YOE. Still applying to HFT even though I clearly can't finish 45-min implementation problems in 45 minutes lol.
Same experience here. The oral problem delivery completely threw me off. By the time I finished writing down the details I had lost 5 minutes already.
Yeah the no-shared-doc thing is rough. I expected CoderPad with a problem written out. Getting it read to you while you're supposed to be thinking is just unfair tbh.
