Expedia VO coding round was actually tricky

Sharing for anyone prepping. Had VO last week, 3 rounds total.

Coding: opened with a quick Expedia values BQ, then got Restore String with Target Digit Sum. It's a backtracking/DFS problem with digit placeholders. I worked through it but got stuck on a subtle edge case near the end. Tbh I wasn't fully prepared for custom problems, mostly drilled LC sliding window.

System Design: payment processor, constraint was sync not async. Went ok but ran out of time before scalability.

BQ: standard accountability question with weird phrasing, I probably botched that one too.

Got rejected. back to grinding I guess.
