3 YOE targeting mid-level at Uber is already ambitious. Their bar for that level is legitimately high. Don't read too much into one screen.

Fair point. Maybe I needed to nail the optimization trajectory more explicitly instead of just arriving at the O(n) solution.

The phone is usually just a bar check. If they don't move you forward the feedback is basically nonexistent. It's frustrating but pretty common.

Did you write test cases during the screen? I heard Uber is strict about that in VO but not sure about phone.

I did write a couple test cases, yeah. Covered the basic edge cases. Interviewer didn't say anything either way.

That exact phrasing is so cold. I got it too after what I thought was a decent screen. Never any specifics.
