Robinhood VO, got rejected on the deep dive
Did Robinhood's VO last week. Phone screen was the dependency graph problem on CoderPad, calculating load factor per node. Got through it fine, showed DFS and mentioned topological sort as an alternative. They moved me forward.
Onsite had coding, system design, and project deep dive. Coding was the referral program leaderboard. System design was Job Scheduler, state machine stuff. Both went ok I think. Deep dive is where it fell apart. Interviewer kept probing every detail of my past project, 40+ minutes straight, didn't feel like I was answering anything cleanly. Got the rejection a few days later.

What was your past project about? Wondering if the topic makes a difference for how deep they go.
I think they go deep regardless. Prepare to defend every single architecture decision you made.
Did you bring a PPT for the deep dive? I heard they usually ask you to present one beforehand.
Had the same thing happen, deep dive wrecked me too. Prepped like 2 hours for it and still wasn't enough.
Job Scheduler state machine came up for me as well. Thought that part went fine but still got rejected, so probably the deep dive on my end too tbh.
Referral program leaderboard with DFS and heap? That one's not easy, good job getting through that part at least.
