Airbnb rejection - thought I nailed the booking problem, somehow didn't
Result: Rejected Number of Rounds: 3
Phone screen + two onsite coding rounds. Booking/split-stay problem I knew cold. Got through it cleanly. Second coding round was House Robber III, also fine.
"Doesn't meet our senior hiring bar" rejection the next week. No specifics beyond that.
Not sure what they want tbh. If solving both coding problems cleanly doesn't cut it, I don't know what does.

Did you have a system design round? 3 rounds without SD for senior seems incomplete.
No SD round. This was phone screen + 2 coding onsites only. Maybe the process stopped early based on something.
Airbnb can cut the loop after the coding rounds if something doesn't meet bar. You might have gotten a clean reject without the full process.
