Databricks CIDR phone screen - rejection and some thoughts on the interview
Result: Rejected Number of Rounds: 1
Phone screen was CIDR block IP matching. Binary prefix matching, ordered rule processing. Got it working but the HM kept interrupting my explanation before I could finish.
Heard back in a week. Rejected.
Honestly dodged a bullet based on how that HM behaved during the interview. Worked at FAANG for 3 years and never had someone interrupt me mid-sentence 4 times.

Was this the CIDR matching with ordered rules or a different variant?
Ordered rule processing. You process IP against each rule in order, first match wins.
The HM interrupt behavior has come up a few times in Databricks posts. Seems like it's specific to certain interviewers not a pattern.
Their HM pool is inconsistent. I had a completely different experience. Interviewer was professional throughout.
