Had just started testing out the waters after a year of not interviewing. Ramp was one of the first places I applied.

Phone screen was the URL traversal problem. Given a seed URL, call it, response contains either a list of next URLs or a final "congrats" value. BFS through the graph until you hit the terminal node. Problem statement is intentionally vague. The right move is to print the response first and see what the structure actually is before writing anything.

Got the happy path working about 20 minutes in. Spent the next 15 on error handling for 503/401 codes and passkey extraction from response nodes. Ran out of time before cleaning it up.

Rejection came next business day.

Not sure what they were evaluating beyond "did you figure out the response structure before coding." That seemed like the key signal.
