Disagree partly. Infra and platform teams still do solid technical work. Not every team is on cruise control.
Sure some teams are fine. I'm talking about product direction. Good infra work for a product nobody's excited about doesn't change the math.
Solid infra for what though. The product roadmap is crypto and retirement accounts. Hard to get fired up about that.
The attrition after the 2022 layoffs was rough. A lot of the actually good people left voluntarily within a year after.
Recruiter reached out to me last month. First thing I did was ask around. Not going anywhere near it.
This is accurate. Left 8 months ago. The 'we're building for the long term' internal messaging got old by month 3.
The name gets you the callback. Then the recruiter mentions the base bands.
