databricks cofounder basically said enterprise AI is mostly failing lol

their eng headcount on LinkedIn has been pretty flat for a few months. not a huge signal but make of that what you will.
yeah my friend does enterprise data consulting and says this is basically every single client. the data is always a disaster and nobody wants to own fixing it.
mainly wondering if this changes how they think about hiring on the customer success / solutions side. that's the part actually dealing with broken data pipelines.
was literally about to start applying to Databricks next month. doesn't change my plan but curious what the internal teams actually deal with day to day.
this sounds like spin though. they're a $134B company, 'enterprise AI is failing' helps them sell more platform and services. convenient framing.
idk he's probably right though. every infra project I've touched in the last year has had the same story. The AI is fine, the data is not.
every big AI company says this now. 'the problem is your data, not our model.' it's the new blame-shifting.
