Result: Rejected Number of Rounds: 1
Phone screen was LC 1438, longest subarray with absolute diff within limit. Got the brute force first, then walked through the optimization trajectory. Made it to the sliding window + monotonic deque approach but got sloppy cleaning up the deque implementation. Interviewer asked tradeoff questions after.
Heard back a few days later. Not surprised.

LC 1438 is a solid problem. the deque cleanup is always the part that trips people under pressure
yeah the monotonic deque edge cases are easy to mess up when you're nervous
uber phone screens can move fast. if the deque implementation wasn't clean they tend to move on
sliding window with monotonic deque seems to come up across multiple companies. worth getting that pattern down cold
