Netflix phone screen, TTL cache question Just did my Netflix phone screen for the Ads org. One coding problem: return a cached value but skip it if it was already returned within the last 10 seconds, each item carries its own fixed cache time. Follow up pushed toward production concerns, keep get as a hot path and move cleanup to a side process instead of blocking on it. Ran out of time before the persistence follow up on what happens if the server crashes and the cache is lost. No word back yet...

Did they ask about persistence at all or just the cleanup follow up?
