Was the phone screen actual live coding in an IDE or more just talking through the approach out loud?
Mine was live coding, they had me actually run it against test cases at the end
Did they cut you off right when time ran out on LFU or did you get to at least outline the approach?
They just wrapped it there, I got the eviction logic sketched out but didn't get to code the frequency bucket part fully
Went through their loop a couple months back too, also got a few weeks of silence then a generic no. Kinda feels like that's just how it goes with them, at least in my case.
Their loss, sounds like you handled most of it fine. The LFU time crunch thing seems to trip up a lot of people from what I've heard.
For the access control round did they want you to handle the nested group membership or was that more of a stretch goal?
Yeah nested groups were part of the base ask honestly, that's where most of my time went
