been E6 for a few years and honestly never ran into this, might depend a lot on which org you land in. ads has always had a reputation for being chaotic though
eh I've heard similar stories from a couple orgs, not just ads. feels less like an org problem and more like how automatch works in general
I'm at a different big tech company rn and scope definitely isn't perfect there either, but at least projects don't get pulled without some kind of conversation first. sounds rough

same thing happened to me on Reality Labs, project got pulled right before a launch. feels less like bad luck and more like how the place runs tbh
yeah it's not just my org either based on what people tell me. wish someone had warned me before I signed the transfer
