Did the variadic function round feel like more of a design exercise or was there actual coding involved too?
Curious if the behavioral questions were more BQ style or more project deep dive, seems like it varies by interviewer from what I've heard.
How rough was the system design round exactly? Trying to gauge if I should spend way more time on the temp email stuff or if it's more about communicating tradeoffs.
Honestly it felt more about communicating tradeoffs than nailing a perfect design. I kept second guessing myself on the duplicate check part and think that's what dragged it out.
Had something similar come up for me too on a subset sum type question, caught me off guard since I was expecting more of a design heavy round for onsite.
Same, I always over prep system design and then get blindsided by something like a DP question instead lol.
