How long did the whole process take? OA to phone screen?
About 3 weeks from OA to this round. Got the rejection email same day after the call.
Had the same problem a few months back. The continuous followup is where most people fall apart. Did you at least talk through the segment-based approach before time ran out?
Can you share more about the watcher reversal logic? Were the timestamps sorted or unsorted when given?
Timestamps were unsorted, had to sort them first. I mentioned segmenting by reversal intervals for the continuous version but never got to code it. Interviewer seemed okay with the verbal explanation but I think running out of time hurt.
HRT problems are brutal for implementation under time pressure. 30 min is not enough for edge cases on top of simulation. Sorry it didn't work out.
