the manager stability thing is real and underrated. people focus on TC comparisons and forget that manager churn at amazon basically resets your promo clock

joined as L4, still L4. submitted my promo packet last cycle. fingers crossed. three years at same level is slow but the trajectory is clear at least

same experience. took a pay cut from meta and the WLB has been worth it. the grass is different not necessarily greener but different in good ways

the forced ranking thing is real. at amazon i was top performer two years then suddenly on a pip. google's system isn't perfect but it doesn't do that
