14 months tracks. The ambiguity thing is real — I spent the first few months just trying to figure out what my actual job was. Good if you like that, rough if you don't.
Research teams or product teams? I'd assume the crunch is way heavier on research side.
Research team. Product side seems calmer from what I can tell but can't speak to it directly.
Honest question — is the mission stuff genuinely felt internally or is it mostly recruiter packaging? Every company claims mission-driven.
Genuinely felt, at least on my team. People actually disagree in meetings about safety tradeoffs. It's not just posters on the wall.
The private company equity bet is the thing I keep going back and forth on. If it hits, incredible. If it doesn't, you took a haircut for nothing.
