the timeline thing is the real issue tbh. L4 full autonomy 'in 2 years' has been true for like 8 years running

Waymo comp is decent but the equity upside is basically priced in. AI labs are printing equity that actually moves

exactly, that's kind of my point. not saying Waymo pays badly, just that the opportunity cost has gotten a lot bigger lately

disagree a bit. Waymo's sensor fusion and robotics work is genuinely hard to find anywhere else. not everyone wants to work on LLM infra

how many people at Waymo are actually doing hard robotics vs just data platform / backend support. probably not as many as you'd think
