Saw this forum allows anonymous posts so gonna vent here tbh. Did an internship in 2023 (still in school), it was fine but they didn't convert me to full-time. Company said they'd "love to have me back after graduation" but when I reached out 6 months later they ghosted me lol. Graduated in 2024. Been searching since then. bro I feel this. Had a 1.5 year gap and every interview just asked about it nonstop. Put the 1k stars project as your first "experience" item and frame the freelance as "contract work" to cover the gap. Recruiters are dumb and only look for continuous employment.
